It looks like no one wants to work with him. Maybe he's planning to go elsewhere and is on cruise control? We need new hungry blood. He's too comfortable in the NYY GM position. Hasn't won since, what, 2009? 10 yrs in New York is a lifetime. Time to get new hungry blood. Since George got sick, what has he done? One title in last 20 yrs.? Don't let the door hit ya Brian.by Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
No he was a Giant's pitching coach.by Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
I'm very aware of all the good and unbelievably clutch play the everyday players are giving us. I love these guys. All of them. But pitching has been horrible. Take away German and Ottovino and look at the numbers. Heck, add their numbers in and still look at the numbers. The numbers tell me that they are below avg. all year. And I don't even know the numbers. haha I know what I am seeing. Chby Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
I think they are tired mentally as well as physically. The everyday players have been saving the pitchers' butts all year. The pitching stinks except for Ottovino and German. They won't win anything if things stay as they are come playoffs. The idea of this vaunted bullpen is anything but. They suck. I know hitman will give them a ribbon for participation and stay eternally optimistic, but I'by Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
QuoteGator QuoteJethro Bodine To quote a line from a great movie...Lighten up Francis! is that from Stripes(1981), Jethro? Yes Gator. Just saw that movie a couple days ago for the first time in about 10 years and I was LMAO!by Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
QuoteHitman23 I'm embarrassed by my stance against Gary Sanchez last summer...... I was a complete IDIOT, *ssh*l*, d**ch-b*g, IMBECILE for hating you last season!!!!!! My SINCERE condolences to you, Mr Sanchez. For me being a COMPLETE J*CK *SS, last Summer!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD GOD!!!!!! Just bring up the NY Giants, who regularly intimidate and beat up on Tom Brady (The Fraidy Pat). I just made that up! lolby Jethro Bodine - TheCyberPub
Too, too many! I thought they would crush the Blues even though I think Tuuka Rask is o-v-e-r-a-t-e-d. He can make the amazing save but then give up 2 easy ones when flustered. However, I think this series was one of his best. Still hard to believe the Blues won. Big Congrats! And they did it w/out any former Rangers! lol. I think...by Jethro Bodine - TheCyberPub

More good pics. Parking looks a tad tight! The Cavern wall was cool to find the performers that played there. Yardbirds, Chuck Berry, The Animals, Donovan, and of course The Stones, Kinks, Beatles...quite the venue you found.by Jethro Bodine - TheCyberPub
Excellent pics! Pros don't get them that good. I especially liked the one at night looking at the stadium from the outside, emblems lit up. And Judge getting announced coming out to the field with the fire going off was perfect timing. He showed his true leadership in going down the line greeting all the players, firing up the guys. Didn't see all but only saw him do that. They neeby Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
Behind LaMahieu and Voit, I think he was the most responsible for the 1st half success. Like LeMahieu, he's a contact hitter and had many timely hits and has shown he has power. Unfortunately he is in a catch-22 with his number of trips up and down to S/WB. The Yanks brought up Tauchman this last move. Different player, but the name Jay Buhner keeps coming to mind. One they let get away.by Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
Don't often find myself complimenting CC, but when Fox was interviewing him in the dugout during the 1st game in London, he was asked about the blend of youth and veterans contributing to the Yankees success. Paraphrasing, he thinks it's a very good thing and mentioned Frazier and Torres specifically as making it fun for him and the team to be around these young guys. lol. Agreed. Same with Chad Green. High fives to you PRYanksfan...and high fives to them (in an ERA way. Not good). Glad they brought up Tarpley.by Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
Oh, OK. Can't blame him for that. Education. Hone skills. Mature. Less pressure. Probably scholarship involved. Yep, good choice.by Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com

QuoteHitman23 As the Yankees pondered what to do with their 20th-round selection on Day 3 of the MLB Draft, Damon Oppenheimer felt the time was right to take his shot. The Yankees selected Jack Leiter, a right-handed pitcher from Delbarton School in Morristown, N.J., a hurler ranked No. 33 by MLB Pipeline heading into the Draft. I'd like to see him pitch. Good genes. Why are you thinkiby Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
QuoteHitman23 Quotetoga I'm taking a break from TYB where I've enjoyed the better part of 15 years discussing Yankee baseball, etc (except for vacations or computer issues) before this escalates further. I will keep my thoughts to myself if I return. Nice knowing you H-man & Uncle K - Don't go, Toga!! I 2nd that!by Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com

Quotetoga Times have changed since Reggie, Puff, Sweet Lou - more so since the escapade at the Copa saw Billy Martin (Casey's golden boy) being traded because he was considered a bad influence on the young Mantle; the days of the trio of Mantle, Berra & Ford hitting the town - one thing they had in common the were veterans on the team, in the league. Quotetoga Wow. Safe to say you don't like him? lol I (repeat, I) would cut him some slack. Still quite young and I/We don't know what goes on behind the scenes. I think he felt slighted not starting the season up with 'the show' even though his numbers were quite good. They're actually quite good thus far. Yet he is struggling with RF. He usually is LF and is much better there. Bottom line isby Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com

Quotetoga he's acting like like a petulant, rebellious child. His attitude is a disruptive force in the dugout. He screwed up Sunday - in right field again but worse by not standing & answering questions or just saying that he messed up but will continue to work. Instead his teammates were left to field questions from the press - Monday was a day off so he decides to make a statement on Tuesdby Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
Quotetoga are you thinking of Leo (think the last name was something like Mazzone, can still pitcher him in the dugout rocking) ?? Not a fan of Rothchild; that's more of a Cashman/Steinbrenner decision. Girardi nor Boone had a say in coaches hiring. Me - I would love to see David Cone get a chance. In his defense, with a MV limit, catchers & coaches are more reluctant to make the trek this yby Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
Never been a big fan. Maddox, Smoltz etc. those guys gave mention to the head coach and his managing (name is escaping me) (always thought he was a hybrid of Whitey Herzog and Dick Williams). They never spoke of Rothchild that I saw. Maybe he's some kind of calming influence in the dugout. Girardi and Boone seemed to like him enough to keep him around. Maybe he pays them to be coach?by Jethro Bodine - TheYankeesBoard.com
