Love is fickle; life changes - baseball is a cycle. Once the opening series in Tampa ended, things started going right in the Yankee Universe. Fans were excited - an exciting team that seemed to find a way to win - oh those late-inning rallies. Riding high in first place seems not so long ago it was a 4 game lead- bats were hot, pitching was lights out and D almost perfect. Suddenly a trip to the Left Coast and the Universe is topsy turvy. During the losing streak - we saw Sabathia and Warren land on the DL; Sanchez & Hicks miss a few days; Clippard lose his control & games;; Carter continues to cost us games with errors & K's. We weathered the early season injuries to Dido & #IamGary. We watched the pen struggle when Chapman went down. Well Chapman is now back; the Team back in the Bronx BUT last night the throes of a seven-game losing streak continued. and worse much worse the Sux managed to drop us to 2nd place. Time for the bats to heat up; pitchers to get their sh!+ together; Cash to dump Carter and get either a 3rd baseman or bring up Tyler Wade for a chance at advancement. We lost Greg Bird to an ankle injury with no signs of returning soon; Ellsbury to concussion syndrome but making progress - and if that's not enough the weird slide of Gleyber Torres resulted in him undergoing TJ surgery possibly as I write this. Tonight is a fresh start - let's turn this around by taking that first step and getting back on the winning track.
