Aaron Judge named AL Rookie of the Month for May
Earlier today, RF Aaron Judge was named the AL Rookie of the Month for May. During the month, he batted .347/.441/.642 (33-for-95) with 17R, 5 doubles, 7HR and 17RBI in 26 games, leading all AL rookies in batting average, runs, hits, home runs, RBI and on-base pct., while ranking second in slugging pct.

For Judge, it was his second straight Rookie of the Month honor, having also won the award in April, making him the first Yankee ever to win the award twice. He is the first Yankee to win any monthly award in consecutive months since Don Mattingly was named AL Player of the Month in both August and September of 1985.

This past Wednesday, the first 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot® update was announced for the American League with Aaron Judge ranking second overall in AL All-Star voting.
