Looks like Austin Romine is close to a one year deal with Detroit. Coming on the heels of the Cole signing for $1.4 mil - and rumors the Yankees could be interested in signing Martin Maldanono for Cole. Austin has been a solid backup in pinstripes and now goes to team up with Miguel Cabrera - yep the guy he was involved in brawl a couple years back. Oh well - could luck Austin just not against the Yankees.
