I had that thought early on when Didi struggled. By not offering a qualifying offer, the Yankees can still make a descent contract offer with incentives - unless someone knocks his sox off, I think DIdi would accept knowing he was still rehabbing from TJ. We know he enjoys playing in the Bronx and with Gley at 2nd. That will let DJ do what he was signed for to play every day but at different position (and that's why he didn't win the GG this year)
