For most living in the Northeast there are four seasons - sumer, fall, winter, spring- each unique in its own right. For most of my nearing 75 years, there have been two: Yankee season followed by whatever season which is filled with Holidays so it passes quickly. Yankee season ends with the final out of their season whether its the last team standing or the early departure before playoffs begin. The other season began around midnight Saturday and will continue until P&CS arrive in Tampa in February. YES will ease some of that with YANKEE CLASSICS but they're not on every day.
Until the WS is over and FA begin declaring speculating is guesswork at best. We can begin though from our own ranks. Let's do one position at a time and be realistic. Easiest place to start is catcher. Many who profess to be fans are calling for Sanchez to be traded - going by statements from Boone, Cashman up to Hal there is no way or thought that will happen. Austin Romine has been a stellar backup - stepping up whenever needed from giving Gary a day off or filling in when he's on the IL. Austin accepted his role graciously - question is whether he will seek FA or will the Yankees offer a contract renewal which he will accept???? That's our first discussion.
