Between the Torres error where 4 unearned runs scored & the pass ball that just kept sailing out of reach for another run - the Yankees could have won. Still frustrating loss but I think I figured out some of the thinking process. NYY scouts were in the stands scouting our team & evaluating players not just for post season but for possible trade value or DFA when crunch time comes in November/December. That's would sort of explain leaving Cessa in to see if he could get out of trouble; Loisiga needs to build up his strength; Chance Adams has shown very little in his ML outings question if he can pitch at this level. The scouts will take their evaluations back to Cash for those meetings determining post season rosters plus who to protect on the 40. As a fan it sucks like he!! to lose that game but in the long run I understand (after tossing & turning all night) what the objective is - now I can watch post game interviews.
