WOW!!! Lesson in D

Started out to be a laugher as the Yankees took a 9-0 lead (with no home runs) against the Rockies. Masa was cruising - maybe in the 6th the heat began to get to him along with that 1/2 hour 2nd in the dugout - pitches were just a little off & Colorado scored 5. Rocky fielders made bad throws; reads on the flight of the ball; pitchers had little control. Luke Voit left the game after being in the mouth by a pitch deflected off his shoulder - concussion tests were negative. Diaz had no control over inside pitches to Romine luckily not hitting him - but the Yankee bench led by CC was not happy. Kahnle & Hale closed out the game. Final score 11-5 - Where the Yankees played almost perfect D - the Rockies could do little right.
