I’m all for eliminating the homeplate umpire and going to an electronic strike zone system. We can use human umps on the bases cause we already have instant replay for bad calls. There can be a buzzer or something to signal strikes, and a balls/strikes counter mounted behind home plate so the pitcher can know the count. We don’t need these blind-ass idiots behind the catcher leaning one way or the other to see the flight of the ball and making the wrong calls! Good God, we’re in the 21st Century, not back in Abner Doubleday’s era! They can have an ump in the dugout to run out to home plate area Incase there’s a play at the plate, which can be reviewed anyway!
