Trailing 4-2 until the 7th the Yankees scored 9 with hits, errors, & walks to take 11-4 lead. Didi led off the 8th going 'deep' to extend the team's consecutive games with a home run to 31. Cessa did well to keep the Yankees in the game after Tarpley struggled in the 1st.
We learned the reason for not using Happ & CC - giving both a chance to regroup & be fresh for the stretch drive; CC was ready to come out of the pen if needed.
