At this point, I'd like to see anybody play first base instead of Voit. He is below average at 1st base. He should DH and let's see DJ try on a 1st base glove. And this is my only concern in letting Bird go. If he stays healthy (which he doesn't) he is clearly their best defensively. Is that worth a roster spot? hmmm...not really. Not with this team.
