I would be reluctant to send Stanton to a divisional rival that we play 18 or 19 times a year. Although if it was to acquire Snell then persnaps an exception could be made. I also think that the ever frugal Rays would be unlikely to go for it even at 14 million per for multiple years.

This discussion does spawn some intriguing possibilities though and Jethro I do know what you mean by being very frustrated by some of these injuries. The durability of the modern player does seem to be in question especially with all of the advances in training and recovery. I know the adage "Rub some dirt on it" seems to have become a relic of the past but I think the pendulum has swung too far the other way with some players and they seem to lack a certain toughness.
