The organizational depth in the Yankees farm system is so anemic that Brian Cashman is willing to sign a notorious hater from the Midwest to fill his needs. First baseman Logan Morrison and the Yankees are in agreement on a minor-league deal.
Morrison is not without his share of battle wounds. He underwent surgery last August to repair a torn labrum in his hip. Morrison’s recovery time was projected to be eight months.
