Saturday the Yankees acquired outfielder Mike Tauchman from the Rockies in exchange for lefty Phillip Diehl.

Tauchman, 28, has minor league options remaining, but is on the 40-man roster and has a chance to be in pinstripes on Thursday when the Yankees host the downtrodden Orioles on Opening Day in The Bronx. Jordan Montgomery was placed on the 60-day injured list to make room for Tauchman on the 40-man roster.
