If Machado signed for 175 million over seven years, and stated that he went back to the Yankees and asked them to at least match it, and the Yankees refused, I'd be pissed at the Yankees.

But if 220 to 240 million wasn't enough to play in The Bronx, the place you dreamed of playing for, then forget it. Have fun in San Diego. I hope the extra 60 to 80 million was worth not being a Yankee.
