Wonder if he ever voted for one of the other closers: Fingers, Gossage, etc. and if the best closer in the game doesn't rate his vote, then he should not vote for a DH either. Most of our DHs began their careers as position players with only a few later years as a DH EXCEPT for one and this is last year on the ballot. He might have been an accomplished batter but due a minor league injury, he was never able to play the field and for me that excludes him from the Hall.
