A little surprised this happened early - C is a fallback, comfortable starter. He won't give us 7-8 innings anymore - not sure if he will be healthy enough especially with his knee to start 25/30 games. Figure the pen can be taxed most of his starts & a little short for the next game or two. If we sign two quality (hoping for the best) like maybe Corbin & Happ or maybe Evo with Sevy & Tank, then see whether Chance Adams or one of our young arms is ready to make the leap to the Bronx - C could be that spot starter while working with the kids to help them development. Just not seeing him in the starting "5" for 162 games plus post season. Not mentioning Gray because I would be shocked if Cash doesn't work a descent deal for him. He's going to be a quality pitcher but just can't do it pinstripes - in fairness he isn't the first to melt under the pressure of the NY fans & media.
