It's time for us "Monday morning GM's" to have some fun - let's start with CC. We know he wants to reach the 3000 K marks but due to age & knees isn't reliable to pitch every 5 days. However, if he would accept an incentive contract - swingman type (spot starter/long relief) I wouldn't mind seeing him comeback. We know he would be great working with the young corps of pitchers coming up: Chance, Justus, Jordy, Dom, etc. If we bring DRob & Zac back, I would be thrilled - not overly confident with Chap's dependability for the whole season - plus how much longer will his knee hold up or his FB.
But if CC has thrown his last pitch as a Yankee, we should all remember his influence in the dugout & clubhouse; a leader & mentor on the team. He struggled with his demons and came back which shows strong character.
