Ellsbury has hip surgery; 6 months to recover

Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left hip to repair a torn labrum on Monday. The surgery was performed by Dr. Bryan Kelly at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. The surgery went as expected.
