Every time I see Max Scherzer pitch I can't help but think

what could've been had the Yankees gone after the right ace instead of setting for Mashiro Tanaka. The guy is working on his possible 3rd Cy Young in a row! And I don't remember even making a serious offer to Scherzer when he left Detroit.
