he's eligible to return in August - but if the M's make the playoffs, he's not eligible. $11.84 mil & no HOF I doubt that bothers him at all. If he really at interest in anything but $228 mil contract, he would have accepted the Yankees 7 year offer but then we wouldn't have Gley so I'm glad he left. Just think there should be bigger penalties for drug abusers.
