The 2018 season is maybe 6 weeks in and we've seen plenty of reversals. First as a team - we got off to a 9-9 while the Sux were 17-1; then we went on a roll against the top teams 17-1 finding new ways to win each game - now a 2 game losing streak, will it end soon as the kids suck it up and return to playing tough games. Mental errors & stupid mistakes contributed last night not just the ineptitude of Sonny Gray's nibbling.
In April Didi was the PoM hitting everything and fielding like a GG shortstop. Come May and he's been as horrid as he was good. Time to get back on track with that bat before it really carries over to the field.
Miguel was an extra base machine when he first came up and impressive with his D - in the last weeks, he has stumbled adjusting to off speed pitches.
Baseball is played on the field - from day to day there is really no way to know what way the ball will bounce. Winning streaks can quickly become a losing slide; the hottest hitter can lose timing, mechanics and slump; the GG fielder can inexplicably become butter fingers in the field - that's why we love the game and as long it's played by humans will be unpredictable -
