I played from the heart.” Donnie Baseball stroked 222 homers with 1,099 rbi's from 1982 through 1995; he was the 1985 AL MVP, while placing fifth in that vote in '84, and second in '86; and won nine Gold Gloves for his fine work around the first base bag.
