but if he doesn't have the confidence to pitch in front of the fans & media of New York - he wouldn't do us much good. We've seen it with others including a certain a Japanese pitcher who didn't impress the Boss. Irabu comes to mind. Let's see if he signs more than a 2-3 year deal with Seattle or San Diego while he makes his adjustments to American baseball & fans. That's when he will be able to command or demand the big contract = he just might be making a smart move. Instead of developing in the minor leagues he could be doing in a small market team while getting major league exposure & experience.
