Headlines & stories are circulating about Aaron Boone (have to use the first name wouldn't want him confused with his stupid brother, Bret) being the new Yankee skipper. Everyone is talking about it EXCEPT for the Yankees - no announcement has come from Hal, Cash or the PR dept. Just struck me as funny reading this from Mark Feinsand's story: Boone has been selected as the 35th manager in franchise history, two sources confirmed to MLB.com on Friday evening, concluding a managerial search that began on October 26 and spanned five weeks. The Yankees have not made an official announcement.
Especially since there was no story about his meeting with Hal in Tampa - early reports had that top candidates would do so probably next week. Oh well - guess these nothing should surprise us!!!!
