Saturday, midnight will be another deadline for the Yankees. At that time Masahiro Tanaka must render his decision on whether or not to opt of his current contract with the Yankees and explore FA waters. The early part of the 2017 season was a struggle but Tank had a resurgent end of the season including some stellar post season starts. Should he decide on FA I hope the Yankees don't go crazy (especially as the goal is to get under the luxury tax) and offer him a multiyear mega deal - the partial tear still hangs over him and could become complete at any time.
