About to Commence

November 1st has arrived - two months (61 days) remain in 2017 - 54 days until Christmas - fall weather has actually arrived. To Yankee fans it always means that officially Joe Girardi, Brian Cashman & the coaching contracts are done. Tonight is game 7 of the WS (haven't done more than channel surf to catch occasional scores) which means tomorrow the MLB will 'permit' teams to make announcements of importance. Going to assume that Cash will be getting an extension - with Joe already told he won't I wouldn't be surprised to see a major over haul in the coaching ranks. The foundation of the players will be under contract for a few years - Judge, Sanchez, Bird, Severino, Bird. Headley still has time left but we saw after the trade with Chicago that his "D" was called into question as Toddler became the regular 3rd sacker - but his contract is up and speculation is he won't be back unless he might possibly accept a one-year deal. Or perhaps the Brass will think Andjuar or one of the minor leaguers will get the call. There are many questions throughout the lineup to be answered - many not until ST but let's hope the announcements of the major and coaching staff will come soon. Then we can put out speculation on the 2018 roster together - YES HOT STOVE begins soon.
