That’s when things got wild. Plate umpire Dan Issasonga immediately signaled that the pitch hit Chisenhall. But Sanchez wasn’t having it. He jumped up and pointed at Chisenhall and yelled “foul,” Sanchez said via the team’s translator. Then he looked into the dugout to get Girardi’s attention.
“I definitely heard something,” Sanchez said, referring to the sound off Chisenhall’s knob. “I wasn’t sure if it hit the ball. I didn’t think it hit (Chisenhall) because he never reacted to that. He stayed still there. But it’s still that happens in a game.”
