Their view on rainouts is stupid & the result is what happened last night in the Bronx. We know the Yankees have the best drainage system but with the torrent yesterday there was so much water that it took hours to make the field playable (players' safety). Under normal circumstances the Yankees would have postponed the game early to save fans from making the trek & waiting in cold, wt conditions. MLB now wants rainouts to be kept to a minimum & IF they happen to make them up in the same series. So after waiting until 8:30 pm for the determination to pp & schedule a DH for tomorrow, what happens if the field is still unplayable tonight - not sure about conditions in the Bronx but we had rain most of the day with chilly temps for spring.
