I would have thought that all major league ballparks would be equipped to officially measure the distance on home runs but while watching and listening to the YES crew in Seattle that does not appear to be the case. I'm nitpicking but in this day and age where we are surrounded and immersed in technology I assumed this would be easy and it wouldn't be the subject of conjecture as much as it was last night. Kind of amateur hour for the M's and Safeco. That blast looked monstrous to me so a 500 ft HR would not have surprised me.

Was there ever anything official announced on the distance that HR traveled?

Regardless of whatever the agreed upon distance it was real nice to see the Judge end the homer-less drought in spectacular fashion!!!
