Getting in the swing for the double header today - watching ENCORE of the 16 inning breath taker- and started thinking about Aaron Judge. His numbers are solid BUT have fallen off during the recent Yankee slide. The slide was in full swing first with the injuries. No one expected the home run production to continue at a clip of 10 a month but as the average has been dropping along with OBP, before the media begins its headlines speculations-let's consider. Has the League caught up with his weakness; he is swinging at some bad pitches again. Did the media circus of NY catch up with the kid so he began to press instead of staying with his normal swing. After all much of his slide seems to have started around the time of his AS announcement and his most AL Votes compounded when he was harassed about the HR Derby, Yes it's all hide sight and the AS break is over - he was spectacular in the Derby but not so much in the game. In the first two games back - no hits, a couple of walks, the average is down around 10 points and his swing seems to be off. Let's see what happens in the DHer -it will give us something to focus on as we sweat out at least 18 more innings of Yankee-Sux tension.
